Pablo Pinacho

Pablo Pinacho is Associate Professor at Universidad de Valladolid. He got a B.Sc, M.Sc., and PhD in Chemistry at Universidad de Valladolid. The topic of his thesis, directed by Prof. S. Blanco and Prof. J. C. López, was the study of the structure and interactions of small microsolvated molecules using rotational spectroscopy. He has held grants as the Alexander von Humboldt, or the Maria Zambrano, for postdoctoral research in the groups of Prof. M. Schnell in Hamburg, and the group of Dr. Emilio J. Cocinero at Universidad del País Vasco, respectively.

Roger Castillo

Roger has completed his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry at the Central de Las Villas University (UCLV), Cuba, in 2020, with the highest grade and differents awards: “Titulo de Oro” and “Premio Mérito Ciéntifico”. He has two years of experience as analitical chemistry in the “Laboratorio de materiales de construcción” in CIDEM (Cuba), 5 years as assistant professor in UCLV.

In the 2022-23, he was a student of the Master “Técnicas Avanzadas en Química: Análisis y Control de Calidad Químicos” at the University of Valladolid thanks to a grant “Programa IberoAmerica + Asia 2022-23; Banco Santander – UVa”. He developped his Master project under the supervision of J.C. López and S. Blanco in the study of the rotational spectrum of 3-methoxy-cinnamic acid. In 2023-24, he completed the interuniversity Master’s program in ‘New Materials’ at the University of Cantabria (Spain).

He is currently a PhD student at the University of Valladolid with a UVa scholarship.

Alberto Macario

Alberto Macario received his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from Universidad de Valladolid. He obtained his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Juan Carlos López and Prof. Susana Blanco in 2019 with a predoctoral fellow at Universidad de Valladolid, specializing in the determination of the molecular structure of biological interest molecules and its molecular complexes by means of rotational spectroscopy. During his Ph.D. he made a short visit at the University of Alberta (with Prof. Y. Xu and Prof. W. Jäger). After the obtention of his Ph.D. he continued as a postdoc in the RSRG group, doing also a short visit as junior researcher at the laboratory of Prof. Melanie Schnell in Hamburg. In 2022, he started to work as a postdoc in the Institut de Physique de Rennes, working in the CRESUCHIRP group of Prof. Ian Sims. In 2023 he was awarded with a MSCA Bienvenüe fellowship there, where he studied the kinetics of low temperature gas phase reactions of interstellar and/or atmospheric relevance.

He currently holds a maître de conférences position at the University of Paris 10, France.
